Welcoming the Chibi Citizens (Part II)
Now that our first wave of Citizens have found their new owners, it’s finally time to start putting them to work!
Over the coming months, our Chibi Citizens gameplay will be gradually rolled out in the following phases:
Phase 1: Gen Zero Citizen minting (COMPLETE)
Phase 1.5: Citizen staking and SHIN earning
Phase 2: Citizen minting with SHIN
Phase 3: Resource Minting and Item Crafting
Below you will find more details on each of these upcoming phases.
Citizen staking and SHIN earning (March)
After you connect your wallet to the Chibi Citizens Staking page (make sure you are on Polygon Mainnet), you will be able to see your collection of Citizens that are available for staking. From here, you can select each Citizen that you would like to stake one-by-one, or simply choose “Select All” to select every Citizen at once.
After selecting any Citizen, the “Stake” button will be activated. Clicking on the Stake button will activate a transaction on wallet; you must confirm the transaction to proceed with the staking (a small amount of MATIC will be required to perform the transaction).
Once staked, your Worker Citizens (Farmers, Traders, and Craftsman) will begin generating SHIN yield, and your Soldiers will start accumulating a percent of this yield. All staked Citizens will also begin accumulating experience (XP) when staked. As a recap, the yield generated and level up requirements for Workers are as follows:
Level 1: 100 SHIN/day. 10 days cumulative staking to reach Level 2.
Level 2: 125 SHIN/day. 30 days cumulative staking to reach Level 3.
Level 3: 150 SHIN/day. 60 days cumulative staking to reach Level 4.
Level 4: 175 SHIN/day. 100 days cumulative staking to reach Level 5.
Level 5: 200 SHIN/day, Resource and Item minting/crafting unlocked.
Soldiers earn 20% of all yield generated by the Workers, and have the same requirements for leveling up (they do not earn additional yield from leveling up). While you will see your Citizens’ XP accumulate when staked, their new Levels will not be updated until you unstake them!
The first month of staking is a token accumulation period, as the features for utilizing SHIN won’t be released until the later phases. Therefore, all staked Citizens can not be unstaked until the beginning of our Phase 2 schedule for April 1st. Starting from Phase 2, there will instead be a 48 hour cooldown before a staked Citizen can be unstaked.
As well, 10% of all SHIN generated by Workers will be sent to our Legend Treasury. SHIN from the Legend Treasury will be evenly distributed to the wallets of our 5,555 Genesis Chibi Legend holders starting on April 1st, and every 2 weeks thereafter (distribution schedule subject to change).
Citizen Minting with SHIN (April)
Starting on April 1st, players can begin unstaking their Citizens to collect their SHIN balance and spend their SHIN to mint more Citizens! The ~2,300 remaining Gen 0 Citizens that have not been minted will be unlocked for minting at this time at a discounted price of 8,000 SHIN. Once all Gen 0 Citizens have been minted, the Gen 1 Citizen collection will be released shortly for minting at 9,900 SHIN per Citizen; there will be 10,000 Citizens available to mint in the Gen 1 collection.
We will also look to start setting up a liquidity pool for collectors to start buying and selling SHIN at this time. Further details on this will be provided shortly before Citizen minting goes live again.
Resource Minting/Item Crafting (May)
Once your Citizens finally max out their level, they can finally begin to mint Resources and craft Items!
Resources will be a new class of ERC-1155 NFTs which can be burned to craft Items (and maybe other future utilization). To mint Resources, collectors will have to own the required max level Farmer or Trader and burn the required amount of SHIN.
Items will be a new class of ERC-721 NFTs which will have direct utility in the Chibi Clash auto-battler game (and maybe other future utilization). To craft Items, collectors will have to own the required max level Craftsman and burn the required Resources for the Item.
Soldiers have a 10% chance of confiscating any new Resources minted by Farmers or Traders. Each Soldier’s chance of success is proportional to their Level.
As Items will have direct utility in our auto battler game, details on Items (effects, rarity, quantity available, resource required, etc.) will be shared at a later time once our Item game design has been 100% confirmed.
The Future of Citizens
Beyond just staking and crafting, our Citizens will have a role to play in our upcoming Kingdom Building gameplay. While this is still going to be quite some time away, be reassured that we have a lot more in the works beyond what’s already been shared, and it’s never a bad idea to start building up your collection of Citizens and Legends!
